Project Stardust currencies answer different progression questions. Community references describe Credits, ship or branch experience, Free XP, and Gold, but exact earning rates, conversion options, prices, and eligibility can change. The safest habit is to name the resource and intended purchase before clicking. If you cannot explain which balance will decrease, stop and inspect again.

Credits
Credits are widely described as the normal currency used around ship progression. Earn them through legitimate matches and useful team participation, then reserve them for a planned node rather than every available purchase.
Before buying, confirm the price icon and resulting item. A researched node and a purchased ship may be separate steps in some interfaces. Keep a reserve so the next required action is not blocked by an impulse ship from another branch.
If the result screen appears inconsistent, record before-and-after balances, current booster state, mode, ship, and date. A single unexplained number is not enough to establish an earning formula.
Ship or branch experience
Restricted experience connects play in a ship or branch to progress along that path. The exact scope can be franchise, faction, branch, or ship dependent under current rules, so read the label shown beside the node.
This resource encourages learning the current hull. Use matches to improve range control, arcs, objective timing, and retreat while building the required progress. Skipping the stage can leave you with a more demanding ship and none of the practiced habits it expects.
At a branch split, inspect which pool advances each side before committing more games or flexible currency.
Free XP
Free XP is documented as a more flexible form of progress. Flexibility makes it valuable when a small gap blocks a carefully chosen branch, but easy to waste when used to escape every uncomfortable ship.
Set a spending rule. Use Free XP only after confirming the node, remaining requirement, next ship’s role, and resource reserve. Ask whether the current ship teaches a skill needed later. If it does, playing through the gap may be more useful than bypassing it.
Do not assume every conversion or transfer shown in an old guide remains available or uses the same rate.
Gold
Gold is commonly associated with premium ships, conversions, or other special purchases. It may connect to Robux-funded access or challenge rewards under current systems, but the live screen must confirm the source, price, and result.
Treat Gold as a decision-gated resource. Verify whether a purchase is permanent, whether a ship has prerequisites, what benefits are included, and whether availability is limited. Do not buy from a third-party seller and never provide Roblox credentials to a currency site.

Read a purchase confirmation
Pause at the final dialog. Confirm the exact ship or action, price, currency icon, current balance, balance afterward, prerequisite, and permanence. If a conversion is involved, identify both the resource lost and gained.
Take a screenshot for your own reference when a large or premium purchase matters, but keep account and private information out of anything shared. A clear record helps resolve an interface mistake without guessing.
Cancel if wording is unclear. There is no progression penalty for reading twice.
Earn through useful team play
Community documentation links match score and rewards with contributions such as damage, eliminations, objective activity, missile or fighter interception, and healing where supported. Exact weighting may change. Focus on actions that help the current mode and keep the ship useful.
Survival matters because a destroyed ship stops contributing and may affect the enemy score. Position near teammates, fight inside the intended envelope, and retreat before focused fire closes the route.
The official game description prohibits farming servers and warns that prohibited farming can cause resets or bans. Avoid arranged loops, idle farming, scripts, exploits, and unlock sellers.
Use boosters with the right currency goal
Before activating a booster, confirm which resource it affects and how its duration works in the current interface. Match the booster to the actual branch requirement. A multiplier for the wrong pool does not solve the target you set.

Record the balance and booster state before the session. Review results afterward without assuming a precise formula from one match.
Budget for a branch
Choose a near target, estimate the resources shown now, and keep a general reserve. Do not plan exact future prices from an old image. Reopen the tree before each purchase because requirements can move.
At a split, compare several nodes and decide which role you want to repeat. Flexible currency should support that decision, not replace it. If both paths appeal, test accessible ships before committing deeply.

Common currency mistakes
Do not confuse similar icons, spend every balance, convert without reading the rate, activate boosters on an unfamiliar ship, or assume a premium ship skips skill development. Do not trust “free currency” generators, browser extensions, scripts, or credential requests.
Another mistake is treating a community earning estimate as guaranteed. Mode, contribution, booster state, server build, and current rules can differ.

Record balances, choose the node, verify the required pool, play ordinary matches, review the result screen, and spend only through the live interface. Keep a reserve and save screenshots of unusual behavior.
